STATE OF PENNSYLVANIA LEGAL ADVERTISING
In the state of Pennsylvania it is necessary to publish a legal notice in two newspapers of general circulation. One of the news papers must be a legal journal. The Department of State lists newspapers according to county. You can see a copy of that list HERE
You may chose to publish the legal notice before the entity is formed, but keep in mind if the name is rejected you will need to republish. Once the publishing in the newspaper is complete, keep the affidavits of publication for your records. They do not need to be filed with the state.
The ad must include the entity name and that the entity has been filed under the Business Corporation Law, also know as BCL, of 1988. Failure to publish the legal notice can result in the dissolution of the business.
